SplashTop “Instant-On Linux” Gets Hacked

Some cunning members of the Phoronix Forums have managed to get Splashtop to run off a USB stick on non-ASUS motherboards, boot Splashtop within a virtual machine, run customs applications and open terminal.

Considering that ASUS is going to put Splash top on all of it’s future motherboards and on some of it’s notebooks, it seems that this is going to get interesting.

If I can get Splashtop running in VirtualBox, I’ll be sure to post the results here.
