Acer’s Eee PC Rival Revealed

Aspire One

Well, well. This IS turning out to be a busy day for sub-notebooks.  There’s little detail available yet, basically all we have is what can be seen off the leaked pictures that showed up on UMPC Portal’s forums today.  Looks like a 8.9″ screen and some sort of (probably) Linux UI.  Digitoday mentions a 299€ price tag, which would make this a full 100€ cheaper than the Eee PC.

Also Mobile01 (Google Translation) has it that the screen resolution is 1024×768, it runs Windows XP SP3 and is powered by an Intel Atom CPU.

How much of this is true/accurate?  Time will tell…
